Sketches on the go from Nov:  Festival of Cartoon Art/Billy Ireland new building celebration, love note to Seattle surrounding Short Run, and airplane doodlings finished on the ground with input from McGurk.

In a big hunk of synchronicity, Caitlin McGurk files a report on the Library/Museum’s acquisition of issues of Multicolor, a satirical Mexican magazine from the revolutionary period, just as I’ve been researching Orozco for a project which revealed his cartoon work for magazines, including Multicolor, from this era.  Unfortunately, despite sharing with McGurk his political caricature style, she couldn’t locate any examples from these issues.  But, on the other hand, now Cabral is a new hero of mine.  Click thru the photo to check it out.
